Great Great Grandad's Medals
Great Great Grandad's Medals
These medals were my Nan's grandad's (My Great Great Grandad) who fought for England in 1914 in World War One... and was called John Goodwin, its amazing seeing them live and in the flesh. I am honoured to get the privilege of seeing them. I love seeing vintage things like this.
Anyway, the reason as to why I am doing. a post on WW1 Medals is because to me how I interpret badges I consider medals as a badge as badges could mean almost anything from being a logo on a car or on a shop window to a celluloid piece of plastic... so ultimately... where do you stop? It's practically endless. plus I am going to look at the older generation for making my publication purely because I feel that badges can even be an interest to the older generation as well as children or teenagers... depending on the design and on the aesthetics of the badges, medals etc.
So I had a Mini Photoshoot of them too as I found these fascinating to photograph and would love to include these into my publication somewhere. You could say I got a little hooked...
