Egyptian Hyroglyphics

Egyptian Hieroglyphics

The reason I am looking at hieroglyphics is simply because I wanted to find a understanding in the Egyptian language seeing as it is all written in symbols I find this incredibly fascinating and genuinely exciting and considering the fact I found out about the Egyptians were the origin for making Enamel I wanted to do some research in the Hieroglyphics due to the fact I dully intend to add some Hyroglythics to my Publication especially after getting feedback from Jack on Thursday 25th January 2021 who cleverly suggest I draw out the hieroglyphics to add to the meaning of the speed.

I found out some exciting facts on Hieroglyphics that this aesthetic of writing was written in Ancient Egypt. This language hieroglyphics contained logographic, syllabic and alphabetic elements also, which consist of many characters,

I found out that the Hieroglyphs are spearated in 4 different categories for one which was where the sigh represents a sound, The Egyptians didn't represent vowels such as "E" and "V" which is hard to know how their wording is formulated.

they also separated them in syllabic signs representing a combination of 2 or 3 consonants, as well as the word signs are pictured objects used as the words for the objects. They were upright strokes to indicate words is complete in a sign. Also in determinatives which is a picture of an object that helps a reader if the word is expressed in an abstract way.

Here is a video that explains it muckiest better,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nQWt7z9fcw Horrible Historys song about hieroglyphics in a very simplistic way so children could learn the basics of the language the Egyptians came up with.

Here is a website I came across explaining more about Hieroglyphics

A-Z in Hieroglyphics

I found out with the mannerism of hieroglyphics being written in either rows or columns and can be read in two ways from left to right and right to left, depending on the symbol/figure always faced towards the beginning of the line and the "Upper" symbols are meant to be read before the lower ones.  Finding this out was so interesting I am thinking to write some of my text on the eyprtians page in hieroglyphics either that or just decorate the spread with hireoglyphic backgrounds, depending on the aesthetic looks more sufficient.

More imagery of Hieroglyphics

Did you known that hieroglyphs were also used for religious literature on papyrus and wood. like the image displayed above.

The thing I love about hieroglyphics is the fact that it is in a written language visually and looks like a piece of traditional art also. It almost reminds me of how the caveman wrote on walls and how people made imagery on tapestry, it would be exciting to make some hieroglyphic symbols as iconic Enamel Pins.  Which I would love to do, with time dependance.
