Contents page Layout 2

After looking at examples of layout designs I decided to look at more exciting contents page layout design concepts where I found inspiration after going through examples of editorial design layouts I found it more exciting to experiment more and break the grid to push my boundaries as a graphic designer, I wanted to go for the asymmetric aesthetic instead of symmetrical and cleansed layout. I wanted to be more adventure.

Here is the images below...

This first layout is much more exciting but the unfortunate thing is I had more than 18 pages on my publication so this layout wouldn't work unfortunately, but it did remind me of the 9 3/4 Harry Potter type of aesthetic.

This is what I mean...

The font ion the numbers is almost identical (Used Baskerville) ad just the layout is quite alike apart from the face I have text separating the words rather than a line/M dash.

I decided to follow the aesthetic of a very similar page layout I found...
which is the layout below:

My layout is similar to this aesthetic with the way I laid the images going diagonally yet connecting, I thought this layout was (excuse my slang) but Quirky)

Here is my layout on a baseline grid. You can see just how much I have
broke the grid!
