Pattern experiments
Experiments with Pins
For this work I decided to focus on experimenting with the enamel pins, I looked at the same tools as I have been using on other experiments, I have used Photoshop again with these experiments and here is the imagery I created using photos I took from the enamel pins. Here is what I created below.
Using the hue saturations, I used the hard mix blend mode which is how I got this dominant piece of graphics with darkened up imagery of the enamel pins,
Greyscale variation of the imagery above, where used the greyscale aesthetic but this time made it dark imagery with other exposed sections also.
On this piece I added the spital imagery of the button badges with the enamel pins to create this piece and experimented with various blend modes to get this effect, which is aesthetically exciting to look at.
With this imagery I overlaid a couple images on photoshop and I used both lightened effect and a darker effects so you can see the pins fully with the derided poppies behind the imagery which I felt was strong one to add with the pin full of poppies on the righthand side.
With this piece I changed the aesthetic by changing the blend modes and I added the colours using these tools on Photoshop by changing the hue saturations also. Here are the tools I used showing visually how I got the effects you're seeing in
these pieces.
Hue Saturations
All Blend modes on photoshop
With this piece I created this piece at a darker and I then moved the hue, the saturation and the darkness up, I quite liked the aesthetic of this piece, it is strong and I like how the poppies are red and how the other pins are still on shawm in this piece. With this piece here I gathered the pins in a different perspective and I changed the hue saturations around and overlaid a coup[le pin badges over the top of the pins just to see what happens if I overlap them and it just looked like stamps.
With this piece I created a reflective aesthetic with the imagery of the enamel pins using the remembrance pins/badges.
On this piece I amalgamated the imagery of the poppies and the photo I had of all the enamel pins and in a lightened blend modes and the poppies in a diagonal aesthetic but in a much darker blend modes.
This piece you could say is like a move forward in a way because it's Halloween display them so I've got imagery from past designs and then I've turned them into paintbrushes and I then done a paintbrush aesthetic over the top of some of the poppy designs just to see what it would look like and to see what would happen just out of a matter of experimental curiosity.
On this piece here I continued with the paintbrush aesthetic but also combining more of the enamel pins in the space but this time using different colours and blend modes on the paintbrushes aestatic on the top of that the poppies I decided to do this piece over another experiment but to develop on the colour of a static on this piece.
This here is a closeup version of the image above I wanted to show a perspective of a piece where there's a lot going on with it at the same time not an awful lot I like where I've used the pop here are you can see the puppy you can see all the different badges in my collection in that piece and in the backdrop of it as well along with this being the section I liked of the image above that worked well as a view finder kind of piece where you can see a lot of detail in a small section of an image which is what I wanted to show on this piece.
