Metallic imagery
Metallic Imagery
For this entry I will be covering the same imagery as I used on the previous entry where I took the imagery of the pins I took in the photoshoot and developed of the pins onto photoshop to get the metallic aesthetic, I then saved them and put them, onto the mobile photoshop app to get these aesthetics with the varied backgrounds.
With this piece I decided to edit this photo using the Adobe Max Mobile Photoshop Which turned the enamel pins greyscale and incorporated with a pink and blue background.
On this experimentation I used another filter on the Mobile version of photoshop called double exposure where the enamel pins look like a city front aesthetic where the badges are the sky-scraping must have collection kind of look, which is what I was hoping for with this piece to which I may consider adding it to my website.
With this piece here I developed this further by changing the aesthetic slightly by changing the blend modes and the colour of the piece by experimenting with the hue saturation ns and the blend modes on Adobe Photoshop.
With this next experiment I decided to use the other variation on the Adobe Max Photoshop filter where I decided to make the enamel pins look more metallic in this aesthetic but mostly for experimentation purposes and just to see what the filter would look like on this piece.

With this piece alone I was aiming for the metallic aesthetic and this is my favourable piece on this experiment I like how I have added some colour to the pins at the back of the image and with the multi colour on the pins with the colourful outline of the poppies.
With this piece here I used another metal aesthetic where I have looked at the colour
co-ordination of the badges where I have then amalgamated all the colours from the badges into the image to try an experimental piece that may work on my website or on the publication.
With this set of imagery here I had changed the colours of the background layer to experiment with the background as well as the badges just to see what I can create and where the images of the metal badge pin is in the white with different colour backgrounds.
With this piece I decided to focus on the image of the pins entirely purely on the holographic aesthetic of them where the imagery of the badges have a lighting of the imagery is there where the imagery has a neon light within the pins have a strong dynamic behind them I like how the neon lighting works for the shadowing of the badges that you'd see in the badges.
I experimented further with this piece with the neon lighting by making the neon lighting a soft light red where you can see the shadow lighting of the imagery as I liked the variation above so I wanted to look at this in a further light by experimenting with the hues and saturations of the imagery.
On this next experiment I decided to experiment further with the background Neon lights foreshadowing the badges with the blue neon lighting I decided to go for the blue lighting because blue is a colder colour and I figured for an aesthetic like that I thought that the blue lighting would still work well for this piece.
With this piece I decided to experiment with the hue saturations and the blend modes further by adding a slight orange tint to the background of the image to keep the enamel pins in the image blue with the tint of orange amalgamated in the image of the badge which has turned the Dr Martens pin Into a slight pink tint.
I have developed this further by using the colour blend mode on photoshop which is how I am getting the neon like aesthetic, where I have experimented further where the lighting that looks neon like is imagery of the badges from another photo I had on the photoshoot and I had made the enamel pins in greyscale.
I then experimented further with the imagery, where the backdrop of this design is in a spray paint like appearance where it looks like i've faintly sprayed a gradient onto the image. With this imagery I have then made a shadowing effect at the back of the imagery which is overlaid but I don't think it is my strongest piece because the imagery of the metallic pins at the back of the image doesn't look like the pins just looks like a messy blob on the back of the image.
With this imagery I decided to incorporate the background of my badge collection where the photography Is incorporating the background using the button badges and with a yellow background to experiment and I figured after previous results of the images with black and yellow on them have worked well as
an image.
For three images I developed these further by making the badges in blue and black in the images and experimented again with hue saturation’s and blend modes.
With this piece here I kept it to a 4 colour limit using blues, reds, whites and blacks where I have changed the hue saturation’s and blend modes and decided to experiment, I have a liking to this piece to the point of considering using this piece to feature in my final outcomes.
More experimentations with colour, hue saturation’s and blend modes below.
