Ident of my collection
Ident:- Trailer
This entry consist of a trailer I made on A programme called iMovies, I made this using footage I had from my badge collection, from my experiments of my drawings of my badges, to video footage of my badges, I created a trailer for my website for ways to promote it and to make it more aesthetically pleasing and a much more engaging website. Here is the trailer footage below.
My First take on the trailer
With this first aspect of the ident, I went with the storyboard on the app I was using on iMovies, this was the first I used iMovies and found it was a very simple software to put film and trailers together. I had some feedback from Anne after I sent a email asking for her opinion about this trailer, here is what was said below:
Email: Feedback from Anne on the original trailer
I responded to this feedback to try editing the video on Premiere pro by adding some added sounds and experimented with some of the aesthetics looking at the video's Hue Saturations and Blend modes like photoshop but on video as apposed to photo imagery, along with experimenting by swapping the imagery that looked weaker/stretched onto the footage, here is the footage below.
Trailer 2
With this version of the trailer I responded to Anne's feedback by changing the quality of the trailer and I also decided to experiment on the sound and on the hue saturations and blend modes on this variation, I enjoyed experimenting with Premiere Pro and mixing audio together, but I find that the sound is out of sink and far out of range, personally because of that despite it being a minor thing, it is something I wasn't happy with. This variation of the trailer I find that the aesthetic is very much reminds me of the aesthetic of The New Wonder Woman, with the trailer, the film and even the posters etc.
Wonder Woman Movie Posters
Here is the Wonder Woman trailer I am referring to- if you haven't watched this film apologies for spoilers... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNUcjqP11OY
The type here is from the Wonder Woman trailer is neon glitchy aesthetic and very much the similar style of the 2nd trailer I made. You could say this trailer was the inspiration of the aesthetic of the trailer, with the choice of colour and sounds.
I also had some feedback from my friend who watched and said "This trailer very much reminds me of Pokemon!" ~Kim.
She said this because of the way I made the sound, sounds like the Pokemon battle music and because of the aesthetic of the trailer too,
Here is some examples of the Pokemon theme music.
I had feedback from Anne and Seb have both saying they prefer the original aesthetic, due to the dramatic feel and they preferred the sound with the original which I must admit I agree with this feedback and they also enjoyed the blue aesthetic more. So because of this feedback I decided to respond to this by going back to the original piece but swapping some of the imagery from the
original variation.
My Trailer (Final)
This is the final trailer for the website, which had the thumbs up from all tutors where I went back to square one and basically made the suggestions Anne said on her email originally by changing some aspects from the first trailer and called it the final edition.
Here is the story-board for the ident from iMovies below:
